Tiberiu Csaki is a partner based in Dentons’ Bucharest office. He concentrates his long standing practice primarily in commercial litigation and international arbitration (including alternative dispute resolution), and also has extensive experience in labour litigation, restructuring and insolvency, mergers and acquisitions, securities and privatisations. – Advising a multinational oil company headquartered in Amsterdam in connection with attempted negotiation and subsequent international arbitration proceedings before ICSID against Romania based on violation of the Bilateral Investment Treaty between The Netherlands and Romania
– Advising a French water and wastewater systems construction company in connection with contractual dispute in ICC proceedings, between the client and the Romanian Ministry of Economy and Finance – Central Finance and Contracting Unit, and further enforcement of the award in Romania
– Counsel to Sterling Resources Ltd., a Canadian oil and gas company, in preparations for an ICSID Additional Facility arbitration to be commenced against a Central European state for breach of protections granted under the relevant Bilateral Investment Treaty following actions by the State to deprive Sterling of its rights to develop two large oil and gas deposits in that State
