Sabin Taclit

Dr. Sabin Taclit is a Romanian legal expert and executive specializing in international private law, European Union law, and telecommunications regulation. He holds a Doctorate in Law from the Academia de Poliţie „Alexandru Ioan Cuza” in Bucharest, where his doctoral research explored freedom of communication within the European legal framework.

Since February 2023, Dr. Taclit has served as Head of Legal at Orange Romania, where he oversees the Legal Department. In this capacity, he manages legal and security structures for one of Romania’s leading telecommunications operators.

Beginning in August 2024, he has also taken on the role of Chief Administrative and Development Officer at NextGen Communications, a subsidiary of Orange Romania. In this position, he is one of the two executives responsible for managing the company, with direct oversight of the Legal, Dara Protection, Regulatory, Human Resources, Administrative, Financial, Reporting, Health & Safety, and Procurement Departments. His leadership focuses on organizational efficiency, strategic growth, and operational excellence.

Over his career, Dr. Taclit has held senior legal roles in both the telecommunications and financial services sectors, including at NextGen Communications , OTP Leasing Romania and Bancpost.

An accomplished author and researcher, he is the author of “Libertatea de Comunicare în Spaţiul European” (Freedom of Communication in the European Space) and several academic studies addressing data protection, the evolution of the EU internal market, and communication rights in the European context.
