Roxana Frățilă

Roxana Fratila is a partner and head of Real Estate and Construction in Romania and has over fifteen years’ experience advising international clients with focus on real estate matters. She has worked on some of the most high-profile real estate transactions in Romania in recent years. Clients cited in Chambers Europe described Roxana as “clear and highly effective in her advice” and “a deal-driver with a very good understanding of the business.”

Roxana has advised on the acquisition and financing of numerous shopping centres & office developments in both Romania and across the region, as well as supported numerous investors and developers in the energy and climate change and agriculture sectors. Her practice spans the coordination of numerous due diligence investigations, acquisitions of all range of properties, concessions, building contracts, joint ventures, design agreements, institutional lease agreements and project financing. She also has a special focus on environmental and renewable energy matters.

Roxana is an active member of pan-regional industry sector working groups – in particular the CEE Hotels and Leisure group, as well as the CMS Energy & Climate Change group. Prior to joining CMS, Roxana was a Senior Associate at one of the largest Romanian law firms, and before that she worked at the associated law firm of Ernst & Young.
