Monica’s primary practice areas are Corporate M&A, Capital Markets and Intellectual Property, with a particular focus on information technology.

Highlights in her career include assisting:
– one of the largest private equity funds in the world on the acquisition of the CEE operations of one of the largest brewers in the world (value USD 2.2 billion) and on the subsequent sale to a major player in the brewery market (value USD 3.5 billion);
– one of the largest privately owned business groups in Romania, in relation to the exercise of exit rights arising from the joint-venture concluded with a major international bank;
– the national Romanian nuclear company in the negotiation process for setting up a joint venture company for the development of units 3 and 4 of the Cernavoda nuclear power plant;
– a Romanian authority on the Rule 144A upgrade of their EUR 7bn EMTN programme and several note issues under Rule 144A for a total value of several billion USD.
