Cristiana’s main practice area is dispute resolution, with a special focus on employment, public procurement and administrative disputes, as well as construction litigation and arbitration.
Cristiana has represented clients in various high profile public procurement litigation cases, including both disputes concerning the annulment or upholding of the results of tender procedures in the field of infrastructure (roads and highways, buildings of public interest, sea walls), transport (rail electrification and rolling stock) and defence.
In addition, Cristiana’s expertise includes advising and representing clients in commercial and construction arbitration proceedings before the Court of Arbitration attached to the Romanian Chamber of Commerce, as well as in exequatur procedures regarding awards rendered by international arbitration tribunals.
With respect to the administrative disputes, Cristiana has represented clients before the courts of law in claims against various State authorities, including the National Authority for Consumer Protection, National Veterinary Health and Food Safety Authority, Romanian Court of Accounts, various Ministries and State agencies in administrative and regulatory disputes.
In the field of commercial litigation, Cristiana has a rich experience in construction litigation (including also FIDIC Red Book and Yellow Book), corporate disputes and various commercial contract breaches.
Cristiana has also regularly advised clients from numerous industries in both pre-litigious aspects and litigation in connection with various employment matters, such as suspension and termination of employment contracts (including claims of unfair dismissal), disciplinary misconduct, non-compete, post-employment non-solicitation, confidentiality obligations, complaints of harassment or discrimination, breach of collective agreement claims, as well as remuneration disputes (including payments for overtime, night work and work on weekends, bonus and severance packages).
