Bogdan Pleșuvescu

Bogdan Plesuvescu is a distinguished figure in the Romanian banking sector, with over two decades of experience across five banks in Romania and the Republic of Moldova.

As of March 2023, he serves as the Deputy General Manager and Chief Legal Officer at Banca Transilvania. In this role, he oversees the subsidiaries of the Banca Transilvania Financial Group, as well as the legal, workout and collection departments.

He was actively involved in major M&A transactions performed by Banca Transilvania , namely acquisition of Volksbank, Bancpost, Victoriabank and OTP Bank Romania.

From 2018 to 2023, Bogdan Plesuvescu held the position of General Manager at Victoriabank in the Republic of Moldova, where Banca Transilvania is a shareholder. His tenure at Victoriabank was marked by significant achievements, including a fast cultural, corporate governance and HR Turnaround, a drastic reduction in the non-performing loan rate from 33% to 4%, and a net profit accumulation of nearly 115 million euros. Also he significantly contributed to the first acquisition of Victoriabank , namely BCR Chisinau.

He has over 20 years of management and legal experience, including experts skills when handling regulatory matters and M&As.

He was a nominee for the 2017 Global Council 500 Power List for Central and Eastern Europe and the 2023 Global Council Power List for Romania.
