Practice Focus
Alexandra has developed a significant practice in the data privacy field, in line with the recent changes introduced by the GDPR Regulation. She provides specific assistance to leading Romanian companies, covering all aspects related to data privacy, including envisaged data processing by data controllers on providing complex analysis covering sensitive data privacy matters, transfer of various categories of data, monitoring of employees, call recording, creating data bases comprising subjects’ data and use of such data bases by entities other than the collector.
In light of the provisions of GDPR regulation, she offers legal assistance services in connection with reviewing data processing/data transfer agreements, internal policies addressed to companies’ employees and management/rules regarding implementation of various HR tools, legitimate interest assessment, questionnaires regarding GDPR compliance, documents outlining implementation of various IT monitoring equipment, drafting notification materials on data privacy rights pertaining to individuals whose data are being processed etc., together with the interpretation of the Romanian data privacy law in light of the EU legislation and fines tracker imposed by other supervisory authorities at EU level.
Alexandra focuses also on day-to-day assistance in corporate matters, advising on new laws and regulations and assisting clients in various labor and employment matters such as: the negotiation of the collective employment agreement and of individual contracts, review of internal regulations and requirements, management structure, and termination of employment agreements.
She also provides sound counsel on due diligence processes, as well as on the protection of legitimate rights and interests of the clients in their relationship with public authorities, institutions and any individual or legal entities. In subsidiary, she ensures intellectual property counselling regarding trademarks’ rights (assignment, license, compulsory license, technology or know-how transfer, specialized assistance for know-how application) and the registration of incorporations or relevant transmissions with the State Office for Inventions and Marks.
